H.E. Prince David Grabovac

Prince David Grabovac (Georgian: პრინცი დავიდ გრაბოვაცი), a Prince of the Royal House of Georgia, was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1983. He contributes to the Royal House’s public, cultural and diplomatic work.
Background and Education
Prince David holds Georgian, Australian and Croatian citizenship. He was educated at La Salle Catholic College and graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Arts (Communications). He subsequently completed a Master of Leadership and Management in Education at the University of Newcastle and a Doctorate of Education at UCAM Catholic University of Murcia (Spain). He has also undertaken diplomacy training through the University of London.
Professional and Diplomatic Service
Prince David has long-standing business interests in the education and financial services sectors. His career has also included service as a ministerial adviser in the Parliament of Australia and lecturing and visiting appointments across a range of institutions. He currently holds an appointment as Honorary Professor of Business and International Relations at the International American University, Los Angeles.
Within the Royal House of Georgia, he serves as Special Envoy to H.R.H. Crown Prince Davit Bagrationi, Head of the Bagrationi dynasty. In this capacity, he supports official engagements and matters relating to the Dynastic Orders.
He also serves as Honorary Consul of The Bahamas in Australia. Appointed by the Government of The Bahamas and accredited by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, he represents Bahamian interests and supports bilateral relations between the two Commonwealth countries.
Interests and Public Engagement
Prince David supports initiatives in education, humanitarian relief, health, and cultural heritage. Since 2009, he has served as a Trustee of the Grabovac Foundation, which awards merit-based scholarships to students, members of the armed forces, diplomats, and leaders in the not-for-profit sector. In 2017, his contribution to educational programmes for Georgian students was recognised with a Mayoral Citation from the Mayor of Tbilisi.
He is an Adviser to the Portuguese Office of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums and serves as an Ambassador of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a global youth development programme. He has also supported humanitarian efforts through the Red Cross in Portugal and through the Catholic Church in Georgia and Ukraine.
