On Friday, March 14, 2025, His Royal Highness Prince Davit Bagration, Crown Prince of Georgia, Head of the Royal House of Georgia, led a distinguished delegation on a visit to the United Nations Headquarters in New York to engage in a dialogue with representatives of the UN Office on Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect. Accompanying him were HRH Prince Giorgi Bagration, Heir to the Crown Prince; Kimon Andreou, Rector General for the Americas; Maj. Jason Hatch, Rector Coordinator for the USA; and Consul General (ah) Michael Acebedo Lopez, Rector for the Philippines. Assisting the delegation were Karen Kraft and Tamara Kucik.

The purpose of this visit was to gain a deeper understanding of the UN’s framework for atrocity prevention and to explore potential avenues for collaboration between the Royal House of Georgia and the international community. The delegation attended an informative presentation on the Framework of Analysis for Atrocity Crimes as well as the UN Strategy & Plan of Action on Hate Speech, shedding light on the global efforts to prevent genocide and other mass atrocities.

During the discussions, both parties agreed to continue exploring ways in which the Royal House of Georgia can support and contribute to these initiatives.
