It is with great sadness that I receive the news of the passing of His Holiness Irinej The Archbishop of Pec, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci and Serbian Patriarch, I had the pleasure to meet him personally by the first time on 15th December 2011 in the Patriarchate of Belgrade and decorate H.H. with The Grand Collar of The Order of The Eagle of Georgia and The Semeless Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

I feel privileged by receiving his wise words and blessings, he was a brave Man who put his duty to God and the Church before his personal safety, a man of God who will always be loved and remembered.
