Institutional funeral in honour of Her Royal Highness The Infanta Doña Pilar of Borbon y Borbon

His Royal Highness The Crown Prince Davit of Georgia, attended the Institutional funeral in honour of Her Royal Highness The Infanta Doña Pilar of Borbon and Borbon , late Duchess of Badajoz.

At the personal invitation of His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain, Crown Prince Davit joined Their Majesties The King, Queen Letizia of Spain, King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia, and other descendants and family members of the late Infanta Doña Pilar of Borbon and Borbon , Sister of King Juan Carlos I and Aunt of the present King of Spain for Mass at the Basilica of the Royal Seat of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, at midday on 29th January.

Mass was led by The Most Reverend Archbishop castrense, Juan del Rio, and was also attended by several Royal Houses.

Her Royal Highness The Infanta Doña Pilar was the first son of The Infante Don Juan Carlos Teresa Silverio Alfonso de Borbón y Battenbergand, Count of Barcelona , Born on 30 of July 1936 ,Cannes , France , and died in Madrid on 8th of January 2020 after a long battle with cancer.

The late Infanta Doña Pilar married Don Luis Gómez-Acebo y Duque de Estrada, 2nd Viscount of La Torre, Grandee of Spain (23 December 1934 – 9 March 1991) on 5 May 1967 in Lisbon Portugal and They had five children.

The Infanta Doña Pilar , was one of the founders of New Future Association in 1968, an international child support organization, and was its president and then president of honor. Until her death, she was one of the leaders and supporters of the Rastrillo Nuevo Futuro event, which provided part of the income that financed Asociación. The event even received the visit of the Queens of Spain, Letzia and Sofia.
