Holy Aghdgoma 2025

A Message of Faith, Renewal, and Unity

On the sacred occasion of the coming Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Davit Bagrationi Mukhran Batonishvili, Head of the Royal House of Georgia, together with the Royal Family, offers devout prayers and heartfelt wishes of peace, spiritual fortitude, and divine grace to all Christians, particularly to the noble families and members of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Georgia.

As we continue through the final days of წმიდა და დიდი კვირა (Holy and Great Week), we approach the celebration of წმიდა აღდგომა (Holy Easter) with reverence and hope. This is the central mystery of the Christian faith, a proclamation of life triumphing over death and light over darkness. May each of us be renewed in spirit and strengthened in our Christian vocation.

Service and Mission in the Past Months

In recent months, the Royal House of Georgia has remained actively engaged in its mission, strengthening ties with the Georgian diaspora and advancing its dynastic responsibilities.

In March, His Royal Highness presided over the first formal Investiture Ceremony of the Dynastic Orders held in the Americas, marking an important chapter in the international extension of the Royal House’s chivalric tradition.

This was followed by a Gala Dinner held in the Americas, which brought together friends and supporters of the Crown in a historic gesture of unity and cultural affirmation.

Additionally, the Royal House took part in high-level discussions at the United Nations on genocide prevention, reaffirming its moral and humanitarian commitment in service of remembrance, justice, and peace.

Faithful to Our Orthodox Heritage

The Royal House of Georgia remains unwavering in its defense of the Orthodox faith and the sacred values that have defined the Christian identity of საქართველო (Georgia) for centuries. The Easter feast calls the faithful not only to celebration but also to renewal, in conscience, in community, and in commitment to the eternal truths of the Gospel.

As the Church prepares to proclaim ქრისტე აღდგა! (Christ is Risen!), may the joy of the Resurrection bring peace to all who seek it and strength to all who serve.

May the Lord bless and protect the Georgian people and all those joined in faith and friendship with the Crown. May this Easter be one of light, healing, and holy joy.

With every good wish in the grace of Christ,

HRH Prince Davit of Georgia
