Crown Prince Davit welcomed in Belgrade

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Davit Bagration Muhranbatoni, Head of the Royal House of Georgia have arrived to their Royal visit to Serbia, on December 6th 2021, upon the kind invitation of Mr Stefan Krkobabich in his capacity of the Deputy Speaker of The National Assembly of The Republic of Serbia, and in the organization of the Serbian Rectory of The Order of The Eagle of Georgia and the Seamless Tunic of our Lord Jesus Christ, headed by Mr Aleksandar O. Djurdjev, Deputy of the The Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, as the Rector for Serbia, and The Reverend Father Deacon Hadzi Nenad M. Jovanovich, the Secretary of The Centre for Research of Orthodox Monarchism, as the Chaplain of the Georgian Royal Orders in Serbia.

This is the second visit to Serbia of His Royal Highness, since He has already visited it in 2011, when He has bestowed the honour of The Grand Collar of The Order of The Eagle of Georgia and the Seamless Tunic of our Lord Jesus Christ upon the late His Holiness K.K. Irinej, Archbishop of Pech, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovtsi and Serbian Patriarch. On this occasion, His three day visit was initiated by secular and State authorities of Serbia, and has had a strong and noble cause to promote spiritual, cultural and all other kinds of exchange and relations of the two ancient Orthodox nations of similar historical experiences and destinies. 

The visit has started with a ceremony of investiture, when His Highness Crown Prince Davit and His Grace The Right Reverend Serbian Orthodox Bishop of Eastern America k.k. Irinej (Dobrijevich) have been awarded the high and distinguished Church-Social decoration – The Cross of Vozhd Djordje Stratimirovich, wich is established and granted, with the blessing of His Grace The Right Reverend Bishop of Srem k.k. Vasilije (Vadich), by the Centre for the Development of Shajkashka, The Board for the Return of the Earthly Remains of Vozhd Djordje Strartimirovich to The Fatherland and The Noble Family of The Stratimirovich of Kulpin, as one of the most ancient and oldest surviving Serbian medieval aristocratic families.

The ceremony of investiture was conducted by Prof. Ivan Noble Stratimirovich of Kulpin and Prof. Dr Djordje Noble Stratimirovich of Kulpin, in the name of the Family; Mr Danijel Kulachin, in the name of the Centre and Father Nenad, in the name of the Board. Beside Their Royal Highnesses, His Grace Bishop Irinej and the gentlemen already mentioned above, the solemn ceremony was also attended by: The Very Reverend Protopresbyter Dr Vasilije Vranich; Mr Aleksandar O. Djurdjev; Mr Goran Milenkovich, Assistant Minister in The Ministry of Rural Welfare in the Government of Serbia and Mr Gojko Raichevich, owner and editor in chief of IN4S – one of the most important and influential news services in the region of Western Balkans. 

 

His Highness has also, on this solemn occasion, bestowed The Medal for Merit for The Royal House of Georgia upon Mr Aleksandar O. Djurdjev and Prof. Ivan Noble Stratimirovich of Kulpin, as a sign of His Royal grace and gratitude for the years of their loyal service to The Royal House. 

It should be said that, before Crown Prince Davit and His Grace Bishop Irinej, The Cross of Vozhd Djordje Stratimirovich, as a high and very prestigious Church award, has already been bestowed upon: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Aleksandar Karageorgevich of Serbia and Yugoslavia; Mr Aleksandar Vuchich, President of Serbia; His Eminence The Most Reverend k.k. Joanikije (Michovich), Metropolitan of Montenegro-Littoral, Zeta-Brda and Skenderija; His Grace The Right Reverend Bishop of Novi Sad and Bachka, Sombor, Szeged and Jegar k.k. Irinej (Bulovich); His Grace The Right Reverend Bishop of Bijeljina, Zvornik and Tuzla k.k. Fotije (Sladojevich); His Grace The Right Reverend Bishop of Valjevo k.k. Isihije (Rodich); His Grace The Right Reverend Bishop of Hvosno k.k. Justin (Jeremich); Mr Igor Mirovich, the President of The Government of The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina; Mr Stefan Krkobabich, Deputy Speaker of The National Assembly of The Republic of Serbia, as well as other most deserving personalities from the ranks of the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Serbian Army, as well as the cultural, academic, public, economic and political life of Serbia.
