The Royal House of Georgia hereby informs the public that it has detected the circulation in Spain and Portugal of various documents, diplomas, and grants of honors attributed to His Royal Highness Prince Irakli Bagration (1909\u20131977), former Head of the Royal House of Georgia, whose authenticity has not been established and regarding whose origin there are serious doubts.<\/p>\n
In defense of the historical and documentary heritage of the Bagration Dynasty, the Royal House establishes that none of the documents, honors, dignities, last wishes, appointments, or grants attributed to His Royal Highness Prince Irakli Bagration shall be officially recognized unless they are recorded in the historical archives of the Royal House or have previously undergone a documentary verification procedure and been authenticated through the corresponding expert report and the relevant analysis of the document, conducted by official laboratories used by the justice system.<\/p>\n
Consequently, any person claiming rights, honors, or privileges based on documents attributed to the former Head of the Royal House that are not registered in the archives of the Royal House must first establish their authenticity in accordance with the procedure established by the Chancellery of the Royal House of Georgia.<\/p>\n
The Royal House of Georgia further warns that any publication, use, or presentation of documents attributed to His Royal Highness Prince Irakli Bagration whose authenticity has not previously been verified may result in the initiation of the appropriate legal proceedings before the competent authorities of the country in which such documents are used or disseminated, where there is evidence of forgery, alteration, document fraud, or any other conduct contrary to law.<\/p>\n
The Royal House of Georgia will continue to take all necessary measures to protect the authenticity of its historical archives, preserve the integrity of legitimately granted honors, and safeguard the prestige of the Bagration Dynasty.<\/p>\n
