The daughter of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Filip and Princess Danica Kara\u0111or\u0111evi\u0107, Princess Maria, was baptized in the court church of Saint Andrew the First-Called in the royal complex in Dedinje.<\/p>\n
Princess Maria was baptized by His Holiness the Patriarch of Serbia Mr. Porfirije. The princess was baptized in water brought from the Danube, Sava, Drina, Vardar, Morava, Ibar, \u017di\u010da, Prizrenska Bistrica, the source of St. John the Virgin near Devi\u010d Monastery and the Adriatic Sea.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander, as the head of the Kara\u0111or\u0111evi\u0107 Royal House, awarded Princesses Danica and Princess Maria with the Order of Saint Sava in the first degree.<\/p>\n
In addition to the parents of Princess Maria, H.R.H. The Prince Filip and H.R.H. Princess Danica, as well as H.R.H. Prince Stefan’s brother, the baptism was attended by the parents of The Prince Filip, Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Maria da Gloria of Orleans and Braganza, Princess Danica’s parents, painter Milan Cila Marinkovi\u0107 and Beba Marinkovi\u0107, Prince Alexander (twin brother of the Prince Filip), Sol Medina Orl\u00e9ans-Braganza Countess of Ampurias, (sister of Prince Filip), stepmother of Prince Filip, Princess Katarina, Crown Prince Davit of Georgia, German Prince Albert von Thurn und Taxi, Princess Jelisaveta and Mr. Dragan Babi\u0107, Prince Mihailo and Princess Ljubica with their daughters Princesses Natalija and Isidora.<\/p>\n
Among the guests at the baptism were the Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church: Irinej from East America, Pachomije from Vranje, Hesihije from Valja, Andrej from Austria and Switzerland, Dositej from Liplja and Nektarije from Jegar, Monsignor Ladislav Nemet, Archbishop of Belgrade, Ivica Da\u010di\u0107, Minister of Internal Affairs in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Romi\u0107, envoy of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, members of the Advisory Bodies of the Crown, close friends and godfathers of Prince Filip and Princess Danica.<\/p>\n
Princess Marija Kara\u0111or\u0111evi\u0107 is the second child of T.R.H.The Prince Filip and Princess Danica. She was born on November 5, 2023 in Belgrade, and her birth was announced by the 49 bells of the Church of Saint Sava in Vra\u010dar, as well as the bells of the Gra\u010danica Monastery, the \u017di\u010da Monastery and the Church of St. George in Oplenac.<\/p>\n
