His Royal Highness The Prince David of Georgia attended the celebrations on the occasion of the 80th birthday and the 35th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness and Beatitude The Patriarch Illia II of all Georgia.<\/p>\n

On Friday 4th January, 2013, at noon, His Holiness and Beatitude The Patriarch Illia II of all Georgia presided over a service (Paraklesi) in the Cathedral of Sioni Tbilisi.<\/p>\n

This was followed by a reception hosted by His Holiness at the Patriarchate, which was attended by almost all members of the Holy Synod, the Leader of the Caucasus Muslims Sheikh-Ul-Islam Allahsh\u00fck\u00fcr Pashazade and the Georgian government.<\/p>\n

His Royal Highness personally exchanged greetings for the Orthodox Christmas with the Prime Minister of Georgia, His Excellency Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Minister for Home Affairs Mr. Irakli Gharibashvili and the Minister for Education Mr. Giorgi Margelashvili.<\/p>\n

A concert in honour of Holiness was held on the same evening in the Philarmonic of Tbilisi<\/p>\n
