At the start of the second day of the Royal Visit to Dublin, His Royal Highness The Prince David of Georgia, held a brief presentation ceremony in the main hall of the Stephen\u2019s Green and Hibernian Clun, on St. Stephen\u2019s Green in Dublin.<\/p>\n
His Royal Highness The Prince David Bagrationi Mukhran Batonishvili, Head of the Royal House of Georgia, Duke of Lasos, Prince of Kakheti, Prince of Kartli and Prince of Moukhrani, Sovereign Head and Hereditary Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Georgia, was addressed in a speech of welcome given by the Special Envoy of the Royal House of Georgia in Ireland, His Excellency Dr. the Chevalier James O\u2019Higgins Norman.<\/p>\n
Dr. O\u2019Higgins Norman formally welcomed His Royal Highness to Ireland and briefly spoke about the merits and the work of the recipients of the Georgian honours.<\/p>\n
His Excellency Don Alfredo Escudero y D\u00edaz-Madro\u00f1ero, The Duke of San Jorge and Marquis of Gori, then called forward the four gentlemen who were granted the honours in various ranks of the Order of the Eagle of Georgia and the Seamless Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
The recipients were: His Excellency Dr. the Chevalier James O\u2019Higgins Norman (Knight Grand Cross), His Excellency Sean, The Baron McClafferty (Knight Grand Cross), Chevalier Patrick Desmond Carl-Alexander Guinness (Knight Commander), Damien, The Count Roche (Knight Commander ).<\/p>\n
His Royal Highness presented each meritorious recipient with the letters-patent granting the Knighthoods, and then thanked them individually for their continuing good work in support of the Georgian royalist cause and in support of the United Nations-recognised NGO, The Prince Irakly Bagration Foundation. The Prince David had particular words of praise for the organising committee of the Royal Visit to Dublin.<\/p>\n
His Royal Highness then asked Chevalier Patrick Guinness to come forward, and presented him with the \u201cMedal of the Unification\u201d which was especially minted to commemorate the birth of His Royal Highness Prince Giorgi Bagration Bagrationi, to The Prince David and Princess Anna. The birth of the royal heir has unified the two main branches of the Bagration family and has been the cause of celebration amongst Georgian royalists.<\/p>\n
The Prince David wished to present the medal to Chevalier Patrick Guinness, in the name of and on behalf of the Guinness family, to thank them for their hospitality and visit to their beautiful residence the day before.<\/p>\n
The Prince invited the Guinness family to visit Georgia, to be able to directly witness the investment possibilities in this up-and-coming country, especially in the agriculture and energy sectors.<\/p>\n
In attendance at the ceremony were The Marquis of Ferris, The Count of Boluda, The Baron de Giorgio, The Baroness McClafferty, Mr. Patrick Downes and Mr. Ian Galloway, amongst others.<\/p>\n
