His Royal Highness The Prince Davit of Georgia arrived at London Gatwick Airport on 28 November 2014, to start his visit to the United Kingdom. The Prince Davit was greeted at the airport by The Right Honourable The Lord Lingfield, Deputy Lieutenant of Her Majesty The Queen for Greater London. The Royal party included the Grand Chancellor The Duke of San Jorge, chancery Secretary The Count of Boluda, Prosecutor and Referendary The Baron de Giorgio and The Duke of Ferris.<\/p>\n
The Prince Davit then proceeded to Apothecaries Hall in Blackfriars, London. His Royal Highness was the guest of honour at the annual young composers\u2019 concert organised by the English National Schools Orchestra. As Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester did last year, Prince Davit presented awards to young composers who had especially composed musical accomplishments which had them been judged by a jury. Robert Pepper MBE was the orchestra\u2019s conductor. Lord Lingfield, president of the orchestra delivered a speech were he praised the remarkable skill and ability displayed by the young musicians and their talent. He also praised and thanked those who spent much time with young budding musicians and thanked all of those involved with the organisation.<\/p>\n
At the end of the concert, where His Royal Highness met and greeted several distinguished guests, including former Lord Mayor of London His Honour Judge Sir Gavyn Arthur, City of London registrar Mr Nigel Branson and Lady Lingfield, the Prince was able to see parts of the remarkable building which had been a residence of Queen Catherine of Aragon, first wife of King Henry VIII.
His Royal Highness and his entourage, together with Lord and Lady Lingfield, and Lieutenant Colonel The Count and Countess Gauci, were invited to a private dinner at the famous Mosimann\u2019s Club in London. The host, The Count Falzon Sant Manduca thanked the prince for accepting the invitation and said that he was honoured to have the opportunity to host the heir to the Throne of Georgia on the first night of his visit. A loyal toast was then given for Her Majesty The Queen of the United Kingdom and this was followed by another toast to His Royal Highness The Prince David.<\/p>\n
The Prince was delighted by the invitation of his hosts, Count and Countess Falzon Sant Manduca to dine in the Bentley Room of the club, as he is particularly fond of the venerable tradition of the Bentley automobile company.<\/p>\n
