On June 16, the Head of the Royal House of Georgia, HRH Prince Davit Bagration-Mukhranbatoni was welcomed during his royal visit to the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain by HE Vice-President of the Senate Mr. Lucas Gimen\u00e9z Juan Jos\u00e9 and the Senator from La Rioja Region HE Ms. Francisca Coloma Mendiola Olarte.<\/p>\n
Four important topics were discussed within the framework of the meeting:<\/p>\n
1. Relationships between the two Iberias \u2013 Georgia and Spain, perspectives, European way of Georgia;<\/p>\n
2. Georgian Diaspora and care thereof, car for the new generation born in Spain, for preserve of Georgian language and identity;<\/p>\n
3. Support of the Spanish Authorities for construction of Georgian Orthodox Churches on the whole territory of the country;<\/p>\n
4. Flooding in Tbilisi: support of the families of victims and injured civilians, restoration of the infrastructure of the capital city.<\/p>\n
Despite that meeting was held in the legislative branch and not executive, the raised issues are already under consideration.
Besides, it is significant that by the personal merit of the Head of the Royal House of Georgia, within the framework of the visit to Spain, there was collected financial support with amount of 10 000 GEL and in few days it will be transferred to appropriate accounts.<\/p>\n
Finally, lunch was held where the Senator from La Rioja Region HE Ms. Francisca Mendiola Olarte Coloma was decorated with the Royal Order of the Crown of Georgia.<\/p>\n
