Holy Aghdgoma 2026

On the occasion of წმიდა აღდგომა (Holy Easter), His Royal Highness Crown Prince Davit Bagrationi Mukhran Batonishvili, Head of the Royal House of Georgia, together with the Royal Family, offers sincere prayers and heartfelt wishes of peace and spiritual renewal to all Christians, and in particular to the noble families and members of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Georgia.

This year, we celebrate the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection in the wake of the passing of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, who reposed on 17 March 2026 at the age of 93. His Holiness served the Georgian Church and people for nearly half a century. His loss is felt deeply by the Georgian nation, and by our Royal House personally. We commend his soul to God’s mercy, and we pray that his memory will endure in the life of the Church he served so faithfully. მარადიული მეხსიერება. Eternal memory.

Service and Mission in Recent Months

On 21 March 2026, His Royal Highness presided over the 2026 Americas Investiture and Gala Dinner, bringing together members of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Georgia in a ceremony of renewed dedication to service and to the Georgian monarchical cause. Further details will be shared in the coming days.

Faithful to Our Orthodox Heritage

The Royal House of Georgia remains steadfast in its commitment to the Orthodox faith and to the sacred traditions that have defined Georgia’s Christian identity for seventeen centuries. The proclamation of ქრისტე აღდგა! (Christ is Risen!) calls us, as always, to renewal: in faith, in service, and in hope.

May the joy of the Resurrection bring peace to all who seek it. May the Lord bless and protect the Georgian people and all those joined in faith and friendship with the Crown.

With every good wish in the grace of Christ,

HRH Prince Davit of Georgia
