Peregrination of His Royal Highness Prince Davit Bagration Mukhran Batonishvili of Georgia to Holy Land
His Royal Highness Prince Davit of Georgia, accompanied by a delegation of his Royal Orders from Georgia, Greece, Spain and Serbia has visited the Holy Land and venerated at the most Holy sites of The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem and all of the Christendom.
On the day of September 15. 2012, His Royal Highness and His Royal entourage were received in an official audience by His Beatitude, The Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine, Syria, Arabia, Beyond The Jordan River, Cana of Galilee, and Holy Zion, K.k. Theophilus III, in the Throne Hall of The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
This important and historic encounter was also graced with the presence of His Eminence The Most Reverend k.k. Aristarchos, Archbishop of Constantina, The Elder Chief Secretary of The Patriarchate of Jerusalem, and other members of the Patriarchal staff.
During this lengthy, spiritually fulfilling and very pleasant meeting, His Beatitude and His Royal Highness have reflected on the rich history of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, and it's continuing importance for the worldwide Orthodoxy in preserving the most Holy Sites and traditions of the Christian world.
His Royal Highness and His sublime host, Patriarch Theophilus III, have also exchanged appropriate gifts as a memento of this illustrious occasion. To this end, His Royal Highness has presented His Beatitude with a special Royal gift in the name of His most august Family, and was happy to honor the immense accomplishments of His Beatitude with The Grand Collar of The Order of The Eagle of Georgia and The Seamless Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Later on, with the Patriarchal Blessing of His Beatitude, His Highness and his company have had the opportunity and unique spiritual pleasure to perform a pilgrimage to the Holy Sites of the Church of The Holy Sepulcher, Church of The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ in Bethlehem (Palestine), Mount of Olives, Monastery of The Cross, Mary Magdalene Monastery and other glorious and sacred sites under the Patriarchal staff and wise guidance and care of His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus III.
