His Royal Highness The Prince David of Georgia was presented with the badge of Grand Companion of the Order of Mercy in a private ceremony at the Armourer's Hall in the City of London. The insignia was presented to The Prince David by The Right Honourable The Lord Lingfield, President of the Trustees of the League of Mercy.

The trustees of the League of Mercy, including His Honour Judge Sir Gavyn Arthur, Colonel Professor Alan Roberts (Her Majesty's Deputy Lieutenant for West Yorkshire) and Mr Nigel Branson, Justice of the Peace and the Prince's retinue were all present for the investiture.
The investiture was followed by a reception and a Grand Dinner in the main hall, which were attended by many distinguished guests, including Her Royal Highness Princess Katharina of Yugoslavia and Her Serene Highness Princess Marie-Therese von Hohenburg.
The Honourable Artillery Company stood in with a guard of honour for His Royal Highness.
