Prince Davit of Georgia visited Azerbaijani cultural centre after Mirza Fatali Akhundov

On March 17, 2015 H.R.H Prince Davit of Georgia visited Azerbaijani cultural centre after Mirza Fatali Akhundov. Azerbaijani cultural centre after Mirza Fatali Akhundov is located in Tbilisi, in the house of Mirza Fatali Akhundov (1812 – 1878), well-known Azerbaijani state and cultural figure, classicist of Azerbaijani literature. Since 1982 this house serves as a museum. In 2012, at the 200th anniversary of Mirza Fatali Akhundov the house had been completely reconstructed. Nowadays not only the museum but Azerbaijani cultural centre also works in this building. Many well-known figures visited this house in various time: Four presidents of Georgia – Zviad Gamsakhurdia, Eduard Shevardnadze, Michael Saakashvili and George Margvelkashvili; Prime ministers of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili and Irakli Garibashvili; presidents of Azerbaijan Heidar Aliev and Ilham Aliev; Ministers of culture and monuments protection of Georgia and Minister of culture and sport of Azerbaijan , Prince Albert of Monaco .
H.R.H. Prince Davit of Georgia looked over the exposition of the museum. Here he has the meeting with representatives of Azerbaijani society of Georgia, Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia and State Oil Company of Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR). This event went off in warm, cordial atmosphere. H.R.H. Prince Davit of Georgia was welcome by director of Mirza Fatali Akhundov Azerbaijani cultural centre Leila Alieva, chairman of council of Azerbaijani fathers in Georgia Isak Novruzov, translator and scientist Zaur Khalilov, representatives of Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia. Speakers emphasized that Georgians and Azerbaijanis live as good neighbours and true friends during many centuries. The Royal dynasty of Bagrations contributed to this very much. In reciprocal speech H.R.H. Prince Davit of Georgia. thanked hosts and marked his readiness to do all his best in farther strengthening Georgian-Azerbaijani relations.
