His Royal Highness The Prince Davit Bagration Mukhran Batonishvili, Head of the Royal House of Georgia, led a delegation of members of the Order of the Eagle of Georgia, coming from Georgia, Spain, Serbia, Greece, France and Switzerland, accompanied by the Rector of the Order in Turkey, Her Imperial and Royal Highness The Princess Nilufer, at a Holy Mass commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the enthronement to the pontifical throne, of His Holiness Bartholomew I, Patriarch of Constantinople and of New Rome, on the 22nd October 2011, in the city of Istanbul.

His Holiness the Patriarch Catolicos Illia II of the Georgian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude the Patriarch Ireneo I of the Serbian Holy Orthodox Church and numerous Bishops mostly from the worldwide Orthodox Patriarchates, participated in the most solemn religious ceremony.

At the end of the religious service, HRH The Prince Davit Bagration Mukhran Batonishvili, presented the Grand Collar of the Order of the Eagle of Georgia and the Seamless Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to HH the Patriarch Bartholomew, the Ecumenical Patriarch of the Universal Church.
