Coat of Arms





 

Shield quartered by a silver cross. 1st, gules (red), King David's golden harp and silver sling.  2nd, azure (blue), a silver sabre and a golden sceptre in a saltire cross, crowned by a golden crucifix-topped sphere. 3rd, azure, King Solomon's golden scales. 4th, gules, Saint George doing what comes naturally to him. Superimposed over everything is an escutcheon with an image of Our Lord's sacred tunic.  All of this is timbred by the Royal Crown of Georgia held by two angels armed with silver sabres. The supporters are two golden lions of the Tribe of Judah. Circling the shield are the Great Collar of the Order of the Eagle of Georgia and the Seamless Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ. All of this is placed above a red royal crowned mantling.

The motto is: "The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; He will not turn from it: of the fruit of thy body I will set upon thy throne".
